KUALA LUMPUR: Pentamaster Corp Bhd has reaffirmed its positive growth outlook for the full financial year 2026, driven by sustained order book momentum across its artificial intelligence (AI) Compute and medical device segments.
The Penang-based automation specialist highlighted that its Factory Automation Solutions (FAS) division will serve as the group's principal growth engine, backed by steady execution and project deliveries for the global AI server and data centre infrastructure ecosystem.
For the third quarter ending Sept 30, 2026 (3Q26), Pentamaster's net profit rose 19.7% year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM20.44 million from RM17.07 million in 3Q25.
The group's quarterly revenue surged 51.30% y-o-y to RM224.05 million against RM148.08 million in the corresponding period last year. Top-line growth was anchored by the FAS segment, which jumped 68.9% y-o-y to RM171.63 million, primarily buoyed by deliveries of automated AI server assembly lines.
The Automated Test Equipment (ATE) division also grew 31.2% to RM50.6 million, supported by deliveries of 3D wafer inspection systems and automotive test solutions.
On a quarter-on-quarter (q-o-q) basis, group revenue rose 23.88% from RM180.85 million in the immediate preceding second quarter ended June 30, 2026 (2Q2026), driven by a 67.7% sequential revenue expansion in the FAS segment. Net profit increased 7.41% q-o-q compared to the RM19.03 million recorded in 2Q2026.
For the cumulative nine-month period (9M2026), Pentamaster’s bottom line grew 35.49% y-o-y to RM58.63 million from RM43.27 million in the previous corresponding period. Cumulative nine-month turnover expanded 37.85% y-o-y to RM585.27 million compared to RM424.56 million in 9M2025.
No dividend was declared for the quarter under review or the cumulative nine months to date, unchanged from the previous year.
To accommodate its expanding pipeline, Pentamaster is undertaking renovation works across 120,000 square feet of previously unutilised floor space at its Campus 3 manufacturing facility in Batu Kawan, Penang.
The group is also preparing to commercialise its advanced packaging test and inspection solutions from 2027 while advancing its proprietary i-FLEX micro-precision robotics platform into humanoid robot assembly.
